BMC Today offers same day care for acute conditions that have started over the last 3-4 weeks. Call to schedule an appointment or utilize our walk-in clinic at a time convenient for your schedule. BMC Today hours are M-TH 8:30-4 and Fridays 8:30-12:00.
We offer the following cardiac services:
ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY: this is a safe and painless procedure that produces video images of internal body structures by transmitting sound waves through the body.
HOLTER MONITORS: a portable external device used for continuous monitoring of the electrical activity in your heart and employing technology similar to an EKG.
ELECTROCARDIOGRAMS: also known as an EKG, this test helps physicians identify issues with the electrical activity in the heart.
**All cardiac stress testing is performed by our physicians at MCHHS.
Jessica Hawkins, APRN-BC is a certified Diabetic Educator through the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education. This means she can help manage and treat a wide variety of diabetic conditions. She has an interest in application and management of Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs).
We provide general and preventive care for patients of all ages — from pediatric well-baby checkups on through adolescence and into adulthood. Typical services include history and physical, examinations, laboratory recommendations and referrals, EKG, x-ray testing and age-appropriate procedures such as colonoscopies and mammography.
Other services include: DOT physicals and other exams required for certain commercial truck and bus operators; Pre-employment physicals; Limited Workers Compensation exams (please inquire about specifics); and Athletic physicals required for your student to participate in organized school sports.
Our clinical lab is CLIA-accredited and found to be substantially compliant with all CLIA regulations. This means that only qualified Medical Technologists conduct our tests and evaluate the results, all under the supervision of Dr. Craig Concannon, Lab Director for Beloit Medical Center.
We offer a wide range of laboratory testing including Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, Immunology, Chemistry, and Drug Screening.
Our nurses can provide the following services:
Ear lavage (ear canal irrigation); Port flushes, Tuberculosis (TB) skin testing; Vaccine administration, including Influenza, Pneumovax, Zostavax, Tetanus, Meningitis, and Gardasil B12 Injections; and various hormone injections.
Please note, we do not currently administer childhood immunizations at Beloit Medical Center. All childhood immunizations are available at the Mitchell County Health Department.
Dr. Christine Marozas and Dr. Jason Cheney of the Beloit Medical Center are highly skilled physicians who offer the full spectrum of Obstetric services to their patients, including prenatal care, ultrasound, vaginal deliveries, C-Sections and postnatal care. Our friendly physicians also provide comprehensive gynecologic services such as breast and pelvic exams, colposcopy, cervical cryotherapy, contraception management and fetal non-stress tests.
We evaluate osteoporosis patients using current bone densitometry methods to determine the best treatment options, including oral and/or injectable medications such as Reclast or Prolia.
Beloit Medical Center provides patients with a wide range of diagnostic imaging services. All diagnostic imaging technologists are board certified in their respective credentialing organizations. Our highly skilled team provides patients with caring, efficient and safe imaging services including:
GENERAL X-RAY: a diagnostic procedure which uses a small amount of radiation to create a black-and-white computer image of internal structures such as bones, heart, and lungs.
ULTRASOUND: This is a safe and painless procedure which produces video images of internal body structures by transmitting sound waves through the body. Ultrasound services include echocardiography, and abdominal and vascular scanning.
BONE DENSITY: DEXA Scans, or bone mineral density tests, use x-ray technology to measure bone mass and aid physicians with the diagnosis of bone loss, as well as predicting and assessing risk for future bone fractures.
ELECTROCARDIOGRAMS: Also known as an EKG, this test helps physicians identify issues with the electrical activity in the heart.
HOLTER MONITORS: a portable external device used for continuous monitoring of the electrical activity in your heart for up to 48 hours.
All surgical procedures are performed by our General Surgeon at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) and include:
Laparascopic Cholecystectomy(Gallbladder) and hernia repair; Appendectomy; Colectomy; Laparoscopic-assisted vaginal Hysterectomy; Hemorrhoidectomy; Endometrial Ablation; C-Sections; Breast Biopsies and Mastectomies; Dilation and Curettage (D&C); Port placements for cancer treatments; Wound vacuums and cyst removals.
Endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and EGD’s are performed at MCHHS by Dr. Concannon, Dr. Fugate, and Dr. Cheney.
